CAUTION PLEASE!.... When driving on Geiger and Monocacy Hill Roads please be cautious: we have several healthy flocks of wild turkeys. The heavy snow on the ro...ad shoulders makes it VERY difficult for these birds to cross quickly and avoid collisions. One turkey fatality was recently observed on Monocacy Hill Road. We see this flock of four Gobblers several times a day crossing the roads and grazing under bird feeders. Another much larger flock (usually 20+ birds) is seen less frequently right now. I suspect they aren't the only groups roaming the Monocacy Hill area.

Hello Everyone! While it hasn’t been cold enough this winter to produce ice on the waterfalls, there are still a few weeks left in this winter season, so you never know! We usually list our spring activities in our newsletter which we send out in late February. This year we are waiting a bit longer to determine what activities will be safe for the public as the pandemic continues. In the meantime, the air is crisp and trails are open! Enjoy and Stay Safe!
