The library will be closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and reopen Monday 11-7. We will also be closed Thursday and Friday next week for New Year's Eve and Day. While we were sad to have to go curbside again we didn't want you to think we forgot about all of our little bookworms. A plastic tote of individually wrapped gift bags for the kids is available on the library porch. Feel free to help yourself. We do feel badly that the curbside began right after we advertised fr...ee books for the kiddos. Those books will still be available for free, and we will put them on the porch during business hours beginning next week, weather permitting. It has been a difficult year for so many. Wishing everyone a safe and peaceful holiday, and a much, much better 2021.

There is a lot of speculation about how quickly vaccines were able to be developed for this horrible virus, and a ton of conspiracy theories and rumors abound. People have questions and concerns, and rightfully so, with all of this conflicting information being seen on the internet and TV daily . Here is some myth-busting straight from the Mayo Clinic. We hope this helps answer some of those questions many have. Wishing everyone a safe and much healthier 2021.

Due to concerns about the most recent surge of COVID-19 cases in the area and the new restrictions from the Governor's office, the Monongahela Area Library's board has chosen to return to curbside service only effective Monday, December 14th. Our hours will remain the same. Sunday we are closed. Monday and Wednesday we are open from 11 am to 7 pm, and all other days we are open from 11 am to 3 pm. Patrons can call ahead to request titles from our shelves or utilize our on...line catalog https://waggin.polarislibrary.com/ to request items. If you don't normally use the online catalog, your login is the number on the back of your library card. The password is the last four digits of the primary phone number listed on your account. Should there be any issues feel free to contact us during business hours. Upon arriving at the library for pickup patrons have the choice to call from their phone to let us know they are here, or to ring the doorbell on the front door. The library's number is 724-258-5409. Wishing everyone a very safe and healthy holiday season.
