1925 alumna Alice Neel always wanted a different kind of life, and she defied norms with purpose as she spent her life painting portraits to understand a new, diverse America, populated by men of color, single mothers sitting on stoops and children in repose.

Visionary Woman Honors Program student Dan Callahan ‘24 chose to incorporate their love of poetry into their Visual Thinking class project and created Phoenix Dawning: A Brief Poetic Romance, a 48-page epic poem.

Moore College of Art & Design has received a 2020 Discovery Grant from The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage to launch a yearlong series of creative activities and projects with the Norris Square Community Alliance in Philadelphia!

Flu shots will be available on campus to all students, faculty and staff who are on campus full-time or part-time on Friday, October 23, from 11:30 am1 pm in The Great Hall. The Moore community is also encouraged to download the COVID Alert PA app, the easy-to-use official contact-tracing app by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

We want to continue sharing Black happiness. Celeste Cottrell '19 co-created Blacktober, a monthlong event designed to get Black creators to turn their favorite characters into someone who looks like them.

Reserve your spot for one of our upcoming private campus tours! Designed in full accordance with Moore’s established campus health and safety guidelines, these 30-minute tours for one student and one guest each are by appointment only and take place along a pre-approved route, allowing future students to get a taste of the Moore experience while maintaining a safe environment for our campus community. Face coverings and social distancing are required of all guests and deep cleanings will take place along the tour route between each session. Tours do not include residence halls.
