Our annual town-wide Christmas in Nazareth event WILL take place tomorrow as planned. The event will be entirely outside and the weather looks to be mild. We here at the Moravian Historical Society are proud to provide this opportunity to support local artists as safely as possible and to promote a bit of holiday spirit in the community. On behalf of everyone here at MHS, thank you for your continued support this year, and we look forward to seeing you at Christmas in Nazareth!

Here are some Nazareth Hall boys having some winter fun for our #TBT! August of 1786. The Pleasure Gardens were laid out to the west of the Hall buildings. The park contained a series of landscaped terraces, featuring specimens like rare trees brought from all around the world by Moravian missionaries. There were bridges, streams, ponds, pavilions, and even areas for reflection. One of the boys' favorite winter activities was sledding down the long sloping hill from the Moravian cemetery to the foot of the Headmaster's House! #moravian #moravianhistory #moravianhistoricalsociety #history #winter #nazarethpa #lvhistory #museum
