Experience Works! Program Highlight: Andrew B. is participating in the Out of School Experience Works! Program. His job site is at the Republic Food Enterprise Center where he prepares meals for the catering services, cleans the building, and assists with deliveries. At RFEC, he has learned about industrial kitchen maintenance and safe food preparation. ***... The Experience Works! Program provides youth ages 16 to 24 years old with paid work experience at local businesses and organizations so they are able to develop various job skills. There are specific eligibility requirements for this program. Please contact 724-437-6050 ext. 3282 for questions and to apply. The #FayetteCoPA COVID-19 Vaccine Taskforce continues making strides in getting our residents vaccinated. The task force is confident that the majority of those... who registered on the Fayette County Vaccination Registry, and are eligible in Phase 1A and 1A+, have either been vaccinated or are scheduled to be vaccinated. If for some reason you qualify under Phase 1A or 1A+ and have not been contacted to schedule your vaccination, please: Call 724-466-4889 between 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Schedulers with WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital and Highlands Hospital are standing by to assist. Sign up on the Fayette County Vaccination Registry at www.fayettecountypa.org. Click on the yellow COVID-19 box. Then choose Individual Registration and complete the registration form. The registry is maintained daily. We anticipate moving to the Phase 1B eligible population within the coming weeks. Clinics will operate the same and scheduled appointments are required. If you haven’t already, please utilize the Fayette County Vaccination Registry to get on the list.

FCCAA’s free tax preparation service is seeking volunteers to help prepare tax returns for Fayette County residents. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax preparation assistance to people with low-to-moderate incomes, people with disabilities, and veterans. The Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) program offers free tax help to individuals who are 60 years and older. FCCAA is looking for individuals who are able to set aside a minimum of one h...our per week to a maximum of 30 hours per week for the duration of tax season, which runs from the end of January to mid-April. You can volunteer based on your own schedule. No prior tax preparation experience is required. Volunteers will receive training and materials from the IRS to become a certified tax preparer. Training sessions will take place at FCCAA before the tax season starts. FCCAA will be following all CDC guidelines during the tax season.
