Langhorne-Yardley Road will be closed between Wood Lane and N. Flowers Mill Road for at least the next several hours due to emergency sewer repair work by the BCWSA. This may extend into a more lengthy closure, but for now, expect the road to be closed at least until late tonight. We will update when we receive further information.
At the Board of Supervisors meeting last night, Sgt. Russo’s squad was recognized with two citations for a burglary arrest in January and a call with a suicidal person in March. The burglary arrest was a full squad effort in tracking down the perpetrator. The call for a suicidal subject resulted in no injuries to anyone and the person being transported to the hospital for help. Officer Felt and K9 Fitz were recognized for an outstanding drug arrest (meth) that was done in co...njunction with the PA State Police. Officer Bailey was given a commendation for successfully de-escalating a suicidal subject at the mall parking lot in December. Great job by all!
Cool trailer hitch....until it falls off the back of the truck and is sitting near a really busy intersection and does not have any clear indication that it is a replica. Sorry for the traffic detours this morning! Thanks to the Philadelphia Bomb Squad and their quick response we were able to determine it was inert and get traffic flowing again.
MTPD Honor Guard and Motors at the Jesse W. Soby American Legion Memorial Day parade in Langhorne on this solemn day of remembrance.
This Sunday, October 25th, from 6am - 6pm, SEPTA will be performing some much needed, extensive track repair work along the West Trenton line, which will impact the Bellevue and Woodbourne crossings in our township. There will be periodic closings of both crossings throughout the day while the repair work takes place. Please be patient and plan accordingly.
I was just saying I needed to get my hands on some vitamins.... and ... it was fate. Thank you Duck Donuts for coming through! Stay tuned for more partnerships with a place near and dear to our ’s!
Drug take back day is THIS Saturday! There will be drop off boxes at both Giant Food Stores and St. Mary's hospital. Take note of these special instructions: 1. This year’s Take Back Day is going to look a bit different, but rest assured, in addition to safety precautions, all sites* will be accepting medications via a drive up and drop in system. Here’s what to do: o Find the site nearest you... o Bring prescription medications, vaping products, over-the-counter and pet medications for safe disposal o As you approach the drop off site, stay in your vehicle. Maintain a safe distance between your vehicle and other vehicles in line o Stay alert for pedestrians in the area o Follow the directions of police or volunteers at the site o Pull up to the drop off location, place your meds into the box o Drive away at a safe speed knowing that you have helped! #BucksCoTakeBack2020 #RxTakeBackDay2020 #driveupdropin See more
Look at these smiling faces! Thank you so much to the The Sandwich Club Langhorne and the amazing families who contributed to feeding all of us today. Thank you so much for the feast!!
We support all the brave women and men this month by wearing pink. Your bravery and courage are inspiring. Let us know who you wear pink for?
UPDATE: Thanks to some excellent tips and info we received from the public, we were able to identify the persons responsible. As always, thank you to our amazing Facebook community for all of the fast and helpful information! We need your help. We are posting this on behalf of the Hulmeville Soccer Club. The soccer field at Hoover Elementary School was "turfed" and damaged this past Sunday by a white pickup truck and white dirtbike, causing significant damage to the field.... HSC has spent 2 years resting this field along with a large investment in watering, weeding, and seeding the field to create the best possible playing conditions. Unfortunately, the video is not high quality enough to provide us with a license plate number. If you have any information that can help us identify the vehicle(s) or person(s) involved, please call MTPD at 215-949-1000.
Jr's Express Car Wash presented us with a check for $1,000 for SHOP WITH A COP!! They usually hold a raffle to help raise these funds but haven’t done that this year. So that just makes this even more generous of them. They are huge supporters of our program and it couldn’t happen if not for businesses like Jr’s. Thank you so very much!!!
TRAFFIC ALERT: Township Line Road will be undergoing milling and paving over the next 2-3 weeks. Traffic will be restricted on Township Line Road between the I-295 bridge and the SEPTA railroad crossing (near Big Oak Road). One lane of traffic will remain open at all times with flaggers directing traffic. The road will fully reopen for overnight traffic. Be prepared for some delays during the day over the next couple of weeks.

Walked in this morning to an INCREDIBLY generous donation from Mark Wilkins - NMLS #147661 - Movement Mortgage and the Movement Foundation. This is so kind of you and Movement Mortgage’s Foundation to keep your donations local and support the kids and families in our area. Thank you so much!
