This is why our education system needs to be revitalized, we have ignorant people that have the power to sway the minds of Americans.

Today for Black History Month we honor Erica McCabe King as the first female woman of color to be elected to the Stroudsburg Borough Council in our 200+ year hi...story. McCabe is a a New York native and has lived in the Poconos for over 20 years, and is a single mother of five children. Erica is very active with the borough and serves as the chair for the parking committee, the co-chair on the PR/Media Committee, serves on the personnel and SROSRC committees and also help manage the social media accounts for the Borough. She also helped create and currently organizes the Borough in the Park concert series. McCabe serves as one of three judges on the Monroe County Tax Re-Assessment Panel. Erica is an example of history in our time. We can't thank her enough for her hard work and involvement in making the Stroudsburg Borough a wonderful place to live and visit but also help us continue to grow with diversity, equality and community! #BlackHistoryMonth #stroudsburg #diversityequalitycommunity
