This will decrease the knots and hair breakage. Divide your hair into four sections and begin your shampoo routine. 2 Create a wash routine! The biggest African America hair myth that I remember growing up was dirt makes your hair grow. That is completely FALSE. A clean and healthy scalp promotes hair growth... and strong follicles for the hair to grow from. -Detoxifing shampoo are a great way to eliminate scalp buildup and help oxygenate your scalp. Detoxing can be done once weekly as a part of your usual wash routine. 3 Conditioning your hair after EVERY wash is very important! Conditioner makes your hair more supple and easier to manage. For everyone with color, please use the appropriate conditioner to prevent fading. -While conditioning always distribute the conditioner evenly from your roots to the ends of your hair. Use a wide tooth comb to pull the conditioner from root to tip. 4 Deep conditioning masks are also great for deep hydration and repairing damages from previous styles. 5 NO Silicones or Parabens. Please check all ingredients in the shampoo and conditioner if you buy them from the store. Homemade shampoo and conditioner are my personal favorite! Both silicone and paraben cause extra weight on your hair. Also Silicones attract air pollutants that may result to the loss of natural luster and shine. MOST IMPORTANTLY....
