Our mind will always trump our body! The advice you get from others can be extremely helpful; however, it is the advice you are telling yourself that dictates you. In the health and fitness industry, particularly weight loss / body transformation, many are told, "You are what you eat". The same goes with what your mind consumes; "You are what you think!" ... #mindset #mindtrumpsbody #youarewhatyouthink

Stronger while Smaller. Frustrated with excess abdominal fat? Hit the weights! In a 2014 study published in the research journal Obesity, Harvard researchers followed 10,500 men over the course of 12 years and found that strength training is more effective at preventing increases in abdominal fat than cardiovascular exercise alone.... "When people incorporate strength training into their exercise routine, they not only burn calories, but increase lean muscle mass, which stimulates the metabolism," Rebold says. Muscle mass is a major determiner of basal metabolic rate, or the number of calories the body burns per day to sustain physiologic functions. Key point to take away with this information is exercise routine. Meaning what ALL are you doing? Therefore, for body transformation to occur nothing works in isolation, best results come from SYNERGY of Supportive Nutrition, Concern for Muscle (Resistance Training), Aerobic Exercise and Recovery/Recuperation. Exercise your "Happy" Pill! How exercise makes us happier. Physical activity could improve your state of mind by:... Decreasing stress: There’s a reason that some athletes refer to their time at the gym as therapy. Exercise can be a great antidote to stress, which research has linked to depression, perhaps owing to the body’s inflammatory stress response. Maybe there is a point to be made for the saying "feeling bummed". It is a signal from your ASSet to get off your butt and MOVE!!! Crazy how well engineered our body is when we use it and feed it correctly.

Yep. Diet plus exercise will always be your foundation to higher quality of life. Researchers in another study published in the European Heart Journal found that those with high blood pressure had TWICE THE RISK OF DEATH from the coronavirus compared with patients who didn't have high blood pressure. While this risk increased further with those who weren't taking medication, this suggests that even controlled hbp is still a major risk factor.... They concluded: ""It is important that patients with high blood pressure realize that they are at increased risk of dying from COVID-19," Outside of medication, lifestyle intervention has been proven over and over again to help with HBP.

Poor cardiovascular fitness is another increased risk factor for coronavirus. Exercise is known to have a profound impact on the normal functioning of the immune system. A new study conducted by University of Virginia cardiovascular medicine professor Dr. Zhen Yan suggests regular exercise can reduce a person's risk of contracting covid-19. Acute respiratory distress syndrome, or ARDS, is a top cause of death among COVID-19 patients. Research has shown that there is an exerc...ise-induced antioxidant that can protect against ARDS. How about in addition to wash your hands, physically distance, wearing a mask, WE GET IN SHAPE? EXERCISE is not only MEDICINE it is also PREVENTATIVE MEDICINE! I won't even begin to comment on the mental health benefits of exercise .... Why many individuals refuse to engage in a regular exercise program is baffling when the evidence of all the benefits are mind boggling. NOTE regardless of current fitness level, pre-existing conditions, and limited availability (time) a safe and effective program can be designed by quality fitness professionals (coach). Additionally, coaches provide the needed accountability to build the necessary adherence for a healthier LIVABLE Lifestyle. NEED HELP? Call us here at the Kitchen 724-879-8523

EXERCISE IS MEDICINE! Maximal exercise capacity is independently and inversely associated with the likelihood of hospitalization due to COVID-19. These data FURTHER support the important relationship between cardiorespiratory fitness and health outcomes.... Obesity is now a proven risk factor for increased hospitalization and death from covid-19 The current evidence is clear that being overweight or obese puts you at greater risk of serious illness or death from COVID-19. The data shows that obese people are significantly more likely to become seriously ill and be admitted to intensive care with COVID-19 compared to those with a healthy BMI.... One study found that for people with a BMI of 35 to 40, risk of death from COVID-19 increases by 40% and with a BMI over 40 by 90%, compared to those not living with obesity. An increasing number of reports have linked obesity to coronavirus mortality. The CDC now lists severe obesity as a risk factor for severe COVID-19. Why again are not our leaders in Government (regardless of level) encouraging all individuals at risk due to overweight and obesity seek structured exercise and nutrition recommendations with accountability coaching for added compliance? If you happen to be overweight or obese, take control and start TODAY with improving your health, fitness, and weight. There is no quick fix it is a lifestyle that must be LIVABLE and begins with AWARENESS and ACCOUNTABILITY. Need help? Call us here at the Kitchen 724-879-8523

Maximize effectiveness of any vaccine with exercise! Another study from California showed that healthy volunteers who did just a 15-minute strength training session produced a much more powerful immune response after being vaccinated against flu than a control group.

Physical Fitness is our BEST DEFENSE. I do not think I have yet heard a single official from any level of Government give any recommendation on actively improving our physical health when it comes to coronavirus. How about in addition to wash your hands, physically distance, wearing a mask, WE GET IN SHAPE?... EXERCISE is not only MEDICINE it is also PREVENTATIVE MEDICINE!

Exactly! When it comes to our health and longevity there are no 100% guarantees. However, it is well documented that our body has been engineered to maximize our genetic potential with proper nutrition, exercise and appropriate rest and recovery. ... Why has this lifestyle intervention yet to be promoted by our Governor here in PA? Rather he would prefer to make it more difficult for individuals to leverage appropriate resources for better overall health and immunity. We need a merger of common sense and science. #exerxiseismedicine #trainersareessential #fitnessforimmunity #weatewhatweeat

DO NOT BE FOOLED - EXERCISE IS ESSENTIAL The suppose light at end of the tunnel from PA Governor Wolf is hopefully the soon to be released vaccine. This should be a huge help. However, for those who are in-line to benefit from said such vaccine, shouldn't we be making sure those who will get the vaccine can maximize its effectiveness. "Researchers believe even casual recreational athletes are likely to mount better vaccine responses than sedentary people, and likewise ex...pect high fitness should improve immune responses to other vaccines, including, potentially, a Covid-19 shot". https://www.nytimes.com//exercise-may-boost-your-vaccine-r See more
