Nauvoo Farms Produce Stand

It’s officially spring and a lot is going on here on our farm! Check out these photos for more info It’s egg season and I will have eggs for sale self serve on sunny (not so windy) days.

Spring is on the way friends! Our chickens are finally back into their egg-laying ways. We had two baby lambs born the other week (Chili and Luna) and our turkey population is doing well. Message me for porch pick up on eggs if interested or if you are interested in any 1 year old gobblers (live). The baby lambs are so much fun, my daughter is enjoying bottle feeding the one!

Since it's the dead of winter and a lot is not going on right now I wanted to post about other small businesses in the area. I really appreciate all the support our produce stand gets throughout the growing season so I wanted to comment to say if anyone owns a small business and would like to comment just on this post about their business or post a link to their business, please do so! The more we can support each other and keep our money local the better for our economy! And look for upcoming posts in the next few months about new things going on on our farm. (We have some baby sheep to be born soon and our Americana chickens are almost ready to lay eggs!)(blue eggs that is!, I"m so excited!)

We got our first shipment of seeds in for this upcoming growing season. I’m super excited about it! I’m going to try to grow some new varieties of flowers this year to go with the zinnias. Also I’m so stoked to try to grow sugar peas and some Luffas!

This is my little farmer’s favorite time of the day. Feeding the chickens and gathering the eggs!!

It’s almost the weekend!! Hooray! This weekend I have Cinderella pumpkins, blue doll pumpkins, regular Jack o lanterns. I still have some heirloom tomatoes (purple Cherokee heirlooms and some other varieties of heirlooms as well) I also have in stock gourds, Indian corn and of course corn stalks.

Happy Tuesday! What another beautiful day in the country! I’m restocked with fresh carving pumpkins and (I’ll call them) funky pumkins. I still have plenty of Indian corn, and I have new for today Fuji apples. I just ate one and it was so delicious! Yum yum! I’ll have eggs back in stock on Friday. (All the chickens are laying less now that the seasons are changing!)

Happy Monday! Yesterday my husband picked some more beautiful heirloom tomatoes from my dad’s garden. We also still have plenty of mini gourds, Indian corn, butternut squash, longneck pumpkins. I will have a fresh supply of orange carving pumpkins and funky large pumpkins on Wednesday. Everyone have a nice week!!

Good morning! My husband picked some tomatoes yesterday from my dad’s garden and Indian corn. I also have long neck pumpkins-good for making pies, butternut squash, tomatoes etc.

It looks like it’s going to be another beautiful day in the country! I’m still up and running with corn stalk bunches, pumpkins, gourds, nice looking butternut squash from my garden, delicate pumpkin-on-a-stick branches, apples, etc. The eggs are slowing down for the season but I will have a few dozen set out later this afternoon. O! I just picked some fresh flowers this morning also. They won’t be around too much longer. I hope everyone has an enjoyable Sunday.
