Even during current quarantine conditions in Montgomery County, Neighborhood Meals on Wheels volunteers continue to deliver hot and cold meals to homebound, elderly, and/or disabled residents in our community. This month we are honoring a long time volunteer, Gary Rogers. Gary Rogers retired in 2013 after 33 years working for Housing and Urban Development in human resources. Prior to his retirement in 2013, he had already begun to think about where he would like to volunteer... and joined us at Neighborhood Meals on Wheels shortly thereafter. Gary currently is one of our regular Route 3 deliverers every Monday. Gary and his wife, Sharon, have lived in East Norriton since 2002. Sharon is an excellent baker, and Gary shares her baked goodies with Neighborhood Meals on Wheels. Gary always has a kind word and a smile and our Route 3 patrons have grown very fond of him. He always has their well being at heart. Thank you for your volunteer service Gary! See more
