Basic economics classes teach people how to manage their house hold income. That teaches responsibility. That makes better home life for families, better neighborhoods, cities, states and nations. This is a wonderful place.

"It appears Millennials are growing older and wiser, and the eldest in the generation are buying homes more and more, as the younger ones continue to push up demand for rentals," says Jacob Gaffney of HousingWire, adding, "On behalf of Ernst & Young, Research Now conducted a survey of 1,202 20- to 36-year-old U.S. citizens nationwide that elusive home buying population called the Millennial generation. Compared to their last survey in 2016, Millennials are warming up to buying homes."

"To increase homeownership rates among minorities requires a multiprong strategy using short- and long-term solutions," writes Janna Herron of USA TODAY, adding, "One possibility is offering ongoing financial counseling for new homeowners so they can weather tough economic times."

The results from NeighborWorks America's 6th annual housing survey are in! Ninety-two percent of adults say homeownership is an important part of the American dream, but a significant percentage of people worry that their student loan debt will affect their ability to buy a home.

"Ten years ago, the subprime mortgage crisis stripped millions of Americans of their homes. Many haven’t gotten those homes back and now face skyrocketing rents. Ask an economist, or any recent graduate trying to afford rent, and they’ll tell you: America is still in a housing crisis. On Tuesday, Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) introduced a bill tackling the issue head on, trying to lower the cost of a home in a neighborhood with greater economic opportunity."
