Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!

What a big boost to the Learning Center Facility. Through the Department of the District Community Service, Nested Savings Uganda received Books for Orphans and Other Vulnerable Children (OVC) Programing. This support helps us continue in our Mission. Such generous support makes it possible for our organization to exist and make the community a great place to live in. Bravo!... It is always egg-citing to see the success of our Village Egg Bank in Egg Currency project. In April, we distributed new birds to beneficiaries are are now glad to see egg-cellent smiles on their faces as birds have started laying eggs. Thanks to the additional incomes, farmers have continued to save consistently at the Egg Bank. As always, we thank our Donors: Resilient Africa Network and the French Embassy in Uganda, and all other stakeholders who continually encourage and support us. We shall always work hard to build resilience among the community.

The Learning Center forecast for the number of users for this year is over 6000. The attendance seem to be so fascinating as per this years tallying. With the attendance growing steadily, we presume performance in National Examinations shall greatly improve in Yumbe District. When we see positive on one side, there is always negative. Attendance improving - Books are getting worn off due to the frequent usage and more especially books of single copies. Can we give a hand in acquiring more books to realize the prospect?

Did you know that we have created a microcredit fund that is helping over 100 small business owners, especially women, to start or expand their businesses in Uganda? Read our latest blog post to learn more about this initiative and please consider donating to help us reach more women. Many thanks to the French Embassy In Uganda for providing seed capital for this fund.... http://www.nestedsavings.org//empowering-small-business-ow

As Nicholas M. Butler has clearly put it, Optimism is essential to achievement and it is also the foundation of courage and true progress. This wise saying perhaps is what has been driving us at Nested Savings. The truth of the matter is that we are so optimistic and we shall achieve our targets. Evidently, Pupils and students have a reason to smile as the Learning Center construction seem to be progressing on well as Nested Savings acquired their own piece of land.

Believe us, our Journey has not been simple journey of progress. There has been many ups and downs and it is the choices we made at each stage of those times that have helped shape what we achieved. The Construction of the Learning Center at our own site is a big step for Nested Savings. Your Contributions and support is always of tangible value. We are now in the second phase of the construction where walling is progressively moving on well

Progress tends to take longer than we’d like. Change is almost always incremental: it happens through a series of steps (and sometimes it’s two-steps-forward, one-step-back), in part because many people are resistant to or fearful of change. However, for us at Nested Savings small steps gradually lead to larger strides. Individual actions often have a ripple effect. And small changes made by growing numbers of people can add up to a big impact. We don’t let ourselves get paralyzed into inaction or apathy because we feel overwhelmed by the magnitude of a problem or we think our actions won’t make a difference. The Social Development Fund from the French Embassy is offering easy access to micro credits to support the rural people of Yumbe District. We are on the move to see initiatives that build economically resilient communities.

The creative act is not performed by the artist alone; the spectator brings the work in contact with the external world by deciphering and interpreting its inner qualifications and thus adds his contribution to the creative act. At Nested Savings we much support working with all stake holders and this is what propels us to move distances. Another fascinating week has just passed where we received Angie Boehmer, the Country Director, the Program Director and Innovators for a monitoring visit

Failure is the hallmark of success it can be a starting point of Venture, such as a baby learns to walk; it has to fall down alot to learn the new skills. Each failure becomes a starting point for the next effort proving that failure is not failure. At Nested Savings after the prototype, we learnt alot we are on our toes to realize better results in this second phase.
