"So, if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!" ~ 2 Corinthians 5:17
Baptism of Minnie Ferry We welcome you into the body of Christ and into the mission we share: join us in giving thanks and praise to God and bearing God's creative and redeeming love to all the world.
Worship - May 16, 2021 - Ascension Sunday In today’s readings the risen Christ ascends into heaven and his followers are assured that the Spirit will empower them to be witnesses throughout the earth. The disciples are told to not gaze up into heaven to look for Jesus (Acts 1:11); we find his presence among us as we proclaim the word and share the Easter feast. We too long for the Spirit to enliven our faith and invigorate our mission. Prayer of the Day... Gracious and glorious God, you have chosen us as your own, and by the powerful name of Christ you protect us from evil. By your Spirit transform us and your beloved world, that we may find our joy in your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. Readings Acts 1:1-11 Psalm 93 Ephesians 1:15-23 Luke 24:44-53 https://www.spreaker.com/user/11295800/7th-sunday-of-easter

May the God of glory dwell in you richly, name you beloved and shine brightly on your path.
"Almighty God, by the power of the Spirit you have knit these your servants into the one body of your Son, Jesus Christ. Look with favor upon them in their commitment to serve in Christ’s name. Give them courage, patience, and vision; and strengthen us all in our Christian vocation of witness to the world and of service to others; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen." from: Affirmation of Christian Vocation Evangelical Lutheran Worship page 84

New outdoor prayer space is taking shape. . . . O God, you are the tree of life, offering shelter to all the world. Graft us into yourself and nurture our growth, that we may bear your truth and love to those in need, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
Pause. Take a deep breath. You are a beloved child of God.
On this anniversary of D-Day, we ask you to bring an end to warfare throughout the world. Halt the violence between nations, on our streets, and inside our homes. Heal the wounds of prejudice, and embolden all who strive for peace. ELCA Worship in the Home, June 6, 2021 #Prayer #DDay

We are assembled and prepared for Allegheny Synod Assembly Come Holy Spirit
We ask for your prayers. At Synod Assembly, June 4-5, we will vote to call the next Bishop of the Allegheny Synod. We will also be voting for other leadership positions on the Synod Council and Synod Committees. Please pray for guidance and discernment in our decisions. May the Holy Spirit move among us and bless the work that we do in the name of Jesus Christ.
Almighty God, you are our strength and our shield. We give you thanks for the men and women of our armed forces, past and present, and especially for those who have died while serving. May their sacrifices serve the cause of peace, and may our nation be ever grateful for their service. With your wisdom and strength guide our military’s leaders, and give to all people a desire for justice and peace. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen. Author: The Rev. Chris Duckworth US Army Veteran Chaplain & ELCA Pastor
