For this holiday weekend, we have added a special TWO-HOUR long Grapevine Express: Wine & Cheese train! This extended excursion will take passengers further down the line and into the beautiful farmlands of the Buckingham Valley. Taste a variety of local wines and enjoy a well-crafted charcuterie board as you travel down the tracks. Trains will depart at 5:00pm tonight and tomorrow. #ThrowbackThursday As No. 40 gets fired up for the first Buckingham Valley trains of the season, we look back to No. 40’s very first fire up on April 23, 1967. With steam locomotive No. 1533 due for maintenance over the summer, No. 40 was granted a boiler extension by the ICC in order to operate for the season. This would be No. 40’s first time being under steam since being purchased by the railroad in 1962. No. 40 would go on to run throughout the 1967 summer season, and l...ater return in 1974 after a complete overhaul. You can ride No. 40 this Memorial Day Weekend as she pulls the year’s first Buckingham Valley trains, just like she did in 1967. Trains run Friday-Monday at 11:00, 2:00, and 5:00.
