Over the past 2 months the NEXTransit team has hosted in-person pop-up tents, online surveys, online meetings, and met with local community groups to gather YOUR input on what Transit Investments should be prioritized in our plan. Thank you to everyone who participated! We would like to share with you what we heard from you about our proposed programs and policies. New system signage is a program that Port Authority has already started and people seemed to agree that it is a good idea! 56% of respondents ranked it as very important.
We were very excited to see Transportation Secretary Buttigieg in Pittsburgh yesterday! We look forward to what's NEXT for infrastructure in Pittsburgh!
Below is a re-cap of what we heard from you at our engagement tent Downtown. This was a busiest pop-up and we enjoyed talking to everyone! Thank you again to everyone who stopped at one of our pop-ups!
As part of our transit gaps survey, our #NEXTransit engagement team visited North Park to collect comments from residents there. We got some great comments! Thank you to everyone who stopped to learn about the NEXTransit Plan and leave feedback.

A special thank you to Mr. Richard and his wonderful staff. We are also excited to say that Sunday service has been added to the 22-McCoy beginning November 22nd.

The ride continues with Theme #3 of the #NEXTransit Long Range Plan, How Can Transit Get You There? This next phase of the plan will be focusing on what kind of networks can be implemented to support where you want to go and the goals for the future of transit. Today we will be sharing what our #NEXTransit engagement team heard about transit gaps in Shadyside. These comments, along with those from all the locations we visited, help us create a plan centered on YOU! Thank you again to those who shared their thoughts with us! #pghtransit
Our #NEXTransit engagement team has been out in the community asking adults if they experience transit gaps, but it’s equally important that kids understand transit gaps as well, after all they will be the ones riding the bus is 2045! Today's #nextkidspgh activity teaches kids what kinds of gaps exist and what they are called. Just match the pictures to what kind of transit gap the person in the picture is experiencing. Don't forget to post your answers with #nextkidspgh
Over the past 6 weeks the #NEXTransit public engagement team took to the Port Authority service area and surrounding areas to see if you or someone you know is experiencing or has experienced any transit gaps!! We visited over 20 locations, here’s what we heard from riders in downtown Pittsburgh: #pghtransit
The #NEXTransit Team was out in Northside talking to folks about issues they are having with the current service. They mentioned service gaps making it difficult to get to certain place like Penn Hills, Munhall, and McKeesport and the need to make routes more complete by improving connectivity throughout the city. #pghtransit

In the next few weeks we will be sharing what we've heard, so check back often to see what we learned about your transit experiences! https://gph.is/g/ZPg0yRp

The transit system can take you more places than just to work and home. Let the Port Authority take you to the places you want to go without any hassle! With this map, you can select points and locations for each attraction, read about the attraction, and identify which route you would need to take to get to there! Try it out and tell us where transit took you! https://arcg.is/0jaO1D
