Have you heard of the Pittsburgh Association for the Education of Young Children (PAEYC)? I have recently been honored to join their Board of Directors and want to share their mission with all of you in hopes that you can better support your child/children's educational development as early as possible!! By the way, PAEYC serves Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington and Westmoreland Counties!! ... Overall, PAEYC works to support high-quality care and education for young children from birth until age nine across 10 counties in Southwestern Pennsylvania. PAEYC provides professional development, community resources and advocacy for the needs and rights of children, their families and the individuals who work with them. Visit PAEYC at http://www.paeyc.org/

Want to do something fun with your children in Pittsburgh on a budget?? How about something for FREE?? Even better! The Carnegie Museum of Art has installed a Lozziwurm, a colorful, twisting, tubular play sculpture, located at the museum's main entrance on Forbes Avenue and Craig Street. It is open during museum hours and is absolutely wonderful for kids. For more information, visit http://ci13.cmoa.org//play-structure-for-carnegie-museum-o and http://ci13.cmoa.org/playground
