Noelker and Hull provided master planning and architectural and interior design services for the new, recently completed 240-bed, 136,629-square-foot replacement nursing facility. The new 240-bed facility replaced the existing Centre Crest in Bellefonte and the residents of Centre Care in Bellefonte will begin moving into the new building later this month. The new health care center offers traditional long-term care, as well as four specialty neighborhoods (1) a high acuity, (2) memory support, (3) short-term rehabilitation and (4) private pay. The design includes larger resident rooms, physical therapy services, chapel, beauty barber, a gift shop, and outdoor gathering spaces for residents and family. https://www.noelkerhull.com/centre-crest-inc-centre-care/

The 31st Annual Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards were held December 10, 2020, hosted virtually by David Sload, president and chief executive officer of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Keystone. This program recognizes and promotes the outstanding work performed on projects built by ABC Keystone members. The event celebrates the full journey of a built project, starting with the architects and engineers to the general contractor. Three of Noelker and Hull Asso...ciates, Inc.’s projects were recognized in the healthcare and medical renovation category. 1. Penn State Health St. Joseph’s Hybrid Catherization Laboratory in Reading, Pennsylvania (submitted by Benchmark Construction) received an Excellence Award in Medical Renovations $1 to $5 million. 2. Keystone Health’s Keystone Professional Center in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania (submitted by Mowery Construction) received a Merit Award in Healthcare $10 to $25 million. 3. Participating in the design of Air Force Enlisted Village’s (AFEV) Village 1 through 6, Noelker and Hull Associates, Inc. continues to provide architectural and interior design services for senior living facilities that care for airmen and their families, after their time in the service. On October 20, 2020, AFEV celebrated a ribbon cutting of the latest residential community, during an official ceremony opening Bob Hope Village 6 at the Air Force Enlisted Village in Shalima...r, Florida. Village 6, designed as a community for active and independent adults, provides new apartments that serve spouses of retired enlisted Air Force, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve personnel. In addition to its 63 apartments, which range in size from 1,100 to 1,400 square feet, Village 6 has its own clubhouse and wheelchair-accessible swimming pool. Village 6 apartments feature six two-bedroom, two-bathroom floor plan options with either a balcony or patio. Appointed the director of interiors in No...vember of 2019, Kate continues to be a significant contributing member of the firm, using her many talents to smoothly transition into a leadership role within the firm since joining Noelker and Hull in 2016. Kate’s knowledge and specific experience in the healthcare market is beneficial as we bring her understanding of prevention and preparedness, resilience, and recovery strategies into other markets such as hospitality and higher education, said Stuart Christenson, Noelker and Hull’s president. As director of interiors, Kate has enhanced our interior design studio’s operations, its design processes, and client solutions. During the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Development Breakfast, focused on current construction and renovation projects, Keystone Health’s Keystone Professional Center received the Property Improvement $10M Award. This new two-story, 63,238-square-foot medical office building was designed to expand Keystone Health’s urgent care, pediatric therapy, pediatric dental, and community out-reach practices. Notable architectural and design details throughout the building include an on-site play-ground, kid-friendly interior wall murals, unique flooring materials and patterns, as well as large glass windows to welcome natural light. Talbot County Public Schools’ celebrated the dedication of the new Easton Elementary School on September 30. Tom King, AIA, principal, and Robert Asbury, AIA, LEED AP, principal, of Noelker and Hull Associate, Inc. attended the ceremony along with educators, officials, and Talbot County schools alumni. State Superintendent of Schools Dr. Karen Salmon, remarked that Talbot County Public Schools needed this new building. They needed it because having a 21st century buildin...g like this one for our students is critical to their success in 2020 and beyond, Salmon said, adding that she is excited to see what TCPS students and educators will accomplish in the new school. The new 128,766-square-foot facility will accommodate 1,167 students in grades pre-kindergarten through 5, and include approximately 3,000 square feet of community use space. Although the existing buildings are being demolished, a key element of this project is to maintain the heritage and identity of the gentlemen for whom the original buildings are named in the new design.
