It has been a beautiful week to learn about Fire Prevention and to have some fun with the students at Riverside Elementary School! Over the course of three days we were able to work with nearly 500 students learning about fire dangers, preparation and how to stay safe if an emergency does occur. We want to send a huge thank you to the administration, staff and teachers for enabling us to spend time with everyone this week and to the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department for all your help making this week a success.

North Sewickley residents and merchants are encouraged to join other Beaver County residents by registering to receive Beaver County emergency alerts. Beaver County Emergency Services utilizes the Swift 911 mass notification system to notify subscribers concerning emergencies such as fires, utility outages, floods, severe weather, evacuations, and more. Alerts can be delivered by multiple contact methods including voice, text, and email. The Swift 911 portal, accessible at http://www.beavercountypa.gov///Pages/EmergencyAlerts.aspx, allows users to register for alerts as well as update contact information. This will be extremely helpful for us to communicate with those residents residing near the Connoquenessing Creek which is prone to flooding.
