Touch a Heart with Blue Ridge this Valentine’s Day In addition to being a time-honored celebration of love, Valentine’s Day is an annual opportunity to reach out to the people around you and show them you care. This year more than ever we’d like to help send a powerful message of love, joy, and hope to local soldiers, veterans, and nursing home residents. ... Blue Ridge Communications is encouraging everyone, young and old, to make handmade cards with their own personal touch, a special message, and their name, to show the outpouring of kindness for which our communities are known. Last year’s initiative brought in well over 9,000 handmade cards throughout the Blue Ridge service area that were distributed to over 50 organizations. To support their 8th Annual Valentine’s Campaign, Blue Ridge has partnered with @Art of Recycle to provide FREE card making kits to anyone interested or in need of supplies! Kits can be picked up at 27 Cloister Avenue in Ephrata, PA. Please call ahead at 717-466-6966 to pick up your kit. For more information about this initiative, simply visit www.brctv.com/heart21. Individuals and organizations can mail their cards to Blue Ridge Communications, Attn. Cindy Mellinger, PO Box 150, Ephrata PA, 17522-0150 or drop them off at the Art of Recycle location.
