How can it be?? Freedom - NOT A SINGLE APP.... We know there is a home out there with her name on it. A couch that has room for her. A cozy bed with a warm blanket that is all her own. Yes, she needs to be an only dog.. Yes its true, she doesn't like cats either and Yes she is afraid of little kids but there has to a young couple starting out or an older retired couple who are looking for a pal to romp around with. Freedom can give you the best of an active and home bodied life style. She enjoys hikes and snoozing. She is loving and loyal! Please share and lets get Freedom the forever home she deserves. Its $5 Friday and the holiday season is upon us! How could we possibly say no to a little boy during his time of need. The initial story was confusing, so many versions of why he was struggling to walk - everything from he fell, to he was hit by a car to someone fell on him. In the end, we just wanted to help him. Kringle was immediately brought to our emergency vet where an Xray revealed that Kringle didn't experience any sort of traumatic injury but was suffering from a con...genital issues with his femur heads. The bone is deteriorating and he is in need of bilateral FHO - Femoral Head Ostectomy. How does this happen to such a young boy. He is only 5 months old - poor genetics, poor breeding! Is he painful? Yes he is. We have him on a regimen of pain meds and rest while we get the surgery scheduled. What he endures now will all be behind him once he recovers. His recovery will also include weeks of physical therapy. In the end, he will be able to live a normal pain free life but he needs to have the surgery and physical therapy in order for that to happen. Now is the time we ask, we plead for help from all of you animal lovers, all of you who support the effort that goes in to helping the dogs of Outcast. Please consider the gift of giving to help Kringle to live a happy and healthy life! We have also created a wish list and we are very low on puppy food. Its also tax deductible. With new restrictions in PA set to begin Saturday 12/12 and last for 3 weeks, local small businesses in the restaurant/entertainment industries are affected most. If you know and love some local businesses, help support them. A way to help not only them, but our dogs, is by buying a gift card from them and donating it to Outcast. We will then hold an auction or raffle of all the gift cards we receive. A small way to help 2 ways with 1 action. Gift cards can be mailed to PO Box 12, Catasauqua PA 18032. Thank you to all!

It's Wish List Wednesday and what a better way to celebrate by introducing the new girl of Outcast. Welcome Chardonnay! She is a young girl, likely a Redbone Coonhound mix. When we were asked if we had room for her from one of our local partners we just couldn't say no to her face. We know she is going to be a special girl and we can tell you all now - she is expecting! We will be welcoming the Wino Pups in about 2 weeks! Right now we need supplies - lots and lots of puppy prepping supplies, food and pee pads especially. Chardonnay is a bit on the thin side so time to fatten her up. Stay tuned! https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2YNT7BH48CQVV

You may notice that the title of this album is missing something we add when announcing new dogs - "Adopt-A-Bull." This is because Carmella is a special girl, a girl we just knew should not live out her time in a shelter. Surrendered due to her health, her health being the numerous masses throughout her body with the most prominent one being in her mammary. We had bloodwork done and X-rays which does show that she has metastatic cancer. She will have a visit with the Oncologi...st this coming week to discuss different options available to her for the time she has left. Her time may not be very long but she has already proven she was meant to be with us. We know it may only be a few weeks or maybe a little longer and we know she will let us know when she is ready. She is happy, just so happy. If you didn't see the tumors with your own eyes you would never know. Fospice care is rewarding especially to those pups who were left abandoned in a shelter. She deserved better and we promised her she will be spoiled and loved until the very end. We have created a wish list for her of just a few items she could use - Pill Pockets seem to be her favorite!
