We are saddened to report the loss of a dear friend of the Chautauqua, Larry Roush who has served on the Chautauqua Board of Managers for several terms. We will report on arrangements when we know them. Rest in peace, dear friend. You were very much loved.

This very friendly and hungry cat showed up on our porch yesterday in Campmeeting. It does not have a collar and does not seem feral. Is anyone missing a cat?

FOUND!!!!!! Someone found Lyla and Sarah is getting her back tonight! Thank you for all your kind thoughts and good ideas. Phew! Missing dog. Answers to Lyla. S...he was stung by bees close to Dinosaur rock and ran away. Please call 717 304-5393 if you see her. She is VERY friendly with people, though she might bark. She LOVES treats. She lives in Mt Gretna and might be headed back that way. We are VERY worried about her. See more

Hello Everyone! I have been working with the Board at Governor Dick park to benefit the trails, which have been extended to their limits during covid, and now in need of maintenance. I run a social media page, Ride Gretna , where I promote cycling content, and we recently adopted a new logo. We are fundraising money for trail maintenance projects through T-shirts. The cycling community is large in Mt. Gretna with the Rail Trail, endless surrounding roads, and miles of trail. ...The projects will enhance the trail experience of all users by reducing muddy areas and restoring trails back to their natural, singletrack nature. By now, you have probably heard that the Chapman's home in the Heights burned to the ground this weekend. Thank you to the Mt. Gretna Volunteer Fire Department for responding so quickly, calling for additional help and containing the fire. The Mt. Gretna United Methodist Church has set up a fund drive so you can give to the Chapmans through the church.
