When all I just need is to be still and listen for your voice. I want to live with simple faith trusting you. Amen.

God, hearing a bird singing outside, reminds me that you are so worthy of my praise, yet at times, I get stuck on my "issues" that I forget this truth: to live each day knowing you are greater! Amen.

"For every child of God defeats this evil world by trusting Christ to give the victory." 1 John 5:4 NLT Father, when life happens, why do I walk around like I have been defeated? You have called me your child! If I look toward the cross and not the problem, my heart attitude will change! Amen.

"For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome." 1 John 5:3 ESV 2001. Father, your commands aren't to make my faith journey complicated. They're in place to keep me focused and in step with you. Teach me to abide in your love daily: simple faith. AMEN

"Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:29 ESV 2001. God, as I learn how to rest in you, help me not to be idle. Guide and direct me by your grace, mercy and love. There is peace knowing that you have control! Amen.
