The element of water supports us in our emotions, and fire supports us in our motion. The element of Air supports metal clarity and communication, and I am excited for the energy that it will bring forward in our Yonis circle. The rose and the thorn, and sorrow and gladness are linked together. Saadi Grief is such a bittersweet ride. We end up so full of love that has nowhere to go on earth to go any longer, having lost its physical direction. I’m grieving the loss of my beloved grandmother. She would have been 84 today. Had we not such a beautiful relationship, had she not loved me so thoroughly, had I not looked up to her elegance and grace, perhaps I would not feel such pain. And yet, I woul...d never have wanted to be ignorant to this beauty that is love. Grief encompasses our entire emotional spectrum. It is not only sadness, loss, and pain. It is joy, love, and happy remembrance, too. So many of us are grieving. So many of us are experiencing loss in a time where it is difficult to even come together to go through the rituals that we do when we lose someone we love. Frankly, it’s hard not to just feel the thorns some days. As a gentle reminder to all of us, myself included... Remember the Roses. Remember that where flowers wilt and fade, new ones may grow. Remember that Roses have Thorns, just as life does, and yet they bloom and bloom and bloom again. Love to all of you. We’re walking each other home, and we’re smelling the roses along the way. VENUS IN SCORPIO When loving and social Venus entered Scorpio on November 21st, she traded in her social niceties for digging deep into needed transformation and change. Venus shines her light on our relationships. She is the great feminine receiver, and she travels through the signs, inviting us to well rounded understanding of what it means to be a vessel for love.... When she reaches Scorpio, she has to take a dive. She must search out the shadows of our relationships... sex, death, and all things transformative and icky when we consider how and what and where we’re receiving in them... if we are bothering to at all. If we’re not, she’ll bring it to light. During this time, we’ll crave deep and meaningful intimacy. It could feel almost obsessive, as though we may die without going all in on matters of the heart. If we do not heed to those nagging thoughts pushing away peace, if we do not dive in and pull out all of those pieces from shadow to light, we can be ready for a major shakeup. Subtle issues will become more and more obvious until we simply can no longer ignore them. Venus will stay here until Dec 15, the day after the last Eclipse of 2020. This is heavy stuff, and it is deeply Soul Shifting. If we do this work, we will have achieved a much greater level of intimacy and depth in our relationships. What Boundaries Sound Like: It’s not my responsibility to make sure others are responsible. It’s not my job to rescue people from their drama.... It is okay if others get angry. It’s okay to say No. It’s my job to make ME happy and figure out what brings ME joy. It’s not my job to think, feel, or live for others. I have a right to feel my feelings no matter what anyone else feels about my feelings. No one has to agree with me. No one has a right to verbally abuse me, and that includes my family, friends, partners, and coworkers. It’s ok to spend time alone without explaining myself. I do not need permission to be who I am, think what I think, nor to honor myself. Other people have every right to not like me or disagree with me, but they do not have a right to disrespect me. I have a right to end draining conversations and relationships. I know I am enough. So much of the work I do with clients in my Transformational Transitions program is to take a deep dive into boundaries with ourselves and others. We refine these by asking ourselves what we truly need and want, by analyzing our behaviors and processes, and making the necessary shifts back into aligned and authentic living.
