Creating awareness about the importance of drinking milk was part of one of our 2019 Pennsylvania Science of Agriculture teams. Here is a farmer that is taking on a commitment to educate about whole milk and it's benefits. Did you know you can petition your school board to offer this healthy drink in your school? https://www.wlvt.org/blogs/berks/got-whole-milk/
Here is a visual of the pillars of agriculture:. T animals; food, fiber and energy; technology, lifestyle, economy, and environment. How do you benefit from agriculture beyond food and clothing?
Katie is a Pennsylvania 4-H alumnae. Ironically, she also served as a judge for the Minnesota Science of Agriculture Challenge. I am sharing this to inspire all who participate in this program to consider the skills you learn beyond the desire to win the scholarship. The Science of Agriculture Challenge contains so many skills that will carry you forward in your professional future- decision- making, problem analysis and problem solving, financial, communication, teambuilding, and yes, presentations skills. We seek to make the best in our youth better so you can soar and thrive in our adult world. So Very Proud of of 4-H alumni across Pennsylvania, our Country, and Our World!
