Criminal justice reform doesn’t only impact those over the age of 18. There are steps we need to take to reform how juveniles are impacted by the criminal justi...ce system. One of the biggest negative factors impacting our students is the school to prison pipeline, and I’m proud of the work being done through the Youth Court at Universal Institute Charter School through the Philadelphia Community Youth Court to provide alternatives that help keep students out of the criminal justice system. This type of restorative justice helps put young adults back on the right path after making a mistake. Thanks to the @palegblkcaucus and @padempolicy for coming to the #186th district. See more
