Our teams are exhausted. As they work through the long shifts caring for COVID-19 patients they aren’t giving up hope. They are digging deep and are finding ways to provide compassion even on their darkest days. Today we began offering front-line caregivers a shot of hope! WellSpan received its first shipments of the COVID-19 vaccine this week, and will be vaccinating team members according to the PA Department of Health's three-phased plan. Friday, team members at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital, WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital, WellSpan Waynesboro Hospital and WellSpan Surgery and Rehabilitation Hospital received the vaccine, with clinics in additional locations planned.
