This evening's POPluck at MEEP is rain or shine, folks! Bring food and drink, instruments, songs, poems, and whatever creative work to share, work gloves, and questions about wild plants or weeds for Alyssa Schimmel and I to discuss with you. If we find enough, we'll cook with our weeds! 521 Mercy St, South Philly, big beautiful garden and orchard. 5-8pm.

Just reminding everyone that tomorrow is the workparty for MEEP! 11 am to 4 pm. Bring yourselves and a can-do attitude! We'll see you there. :)

FYI to our follow gardeners: we're going to make MEEP's workparties every 1st Saturday of each month. We want to put up flyers in the neighborhood to boost local community involvment and so we need to pick a day and be consistent about it. Sorry to those of you for whom Saturdays are no good! We chose Saturday with the local south philly community in mind. We may also occasionally throw a workparty on a Sunday, but it would be in addition to the one on the 1st Saturday. For the month of May, we do intend to throw a workparty both on the 1st Saturday (May 3rd) and on Sunday, May 4th.

Hey everyone! Marlon, Maritza and a bunch of other people are going to be at the Mercy Street garden from 4:30pm to sundown on Wednesday, April 9, spreading mulch in the paths. We'd love it if anyone who could make it showed up to help!

REMINDER: Tomorrow is MEEP's first official workparty of the yeear. As always, the more people who show up with ideas, food, instruments, muscles, & love, the more magical it becomes! Get your spring on!

Marlon and Maritza invitied folks over "Dinner with a side of Painting" - They provided a home cooked dinner and asked all to pick up a paintbrush and help convert recycled rocks and wood into beautiful signs for MEEP.
