Attention West Philadelphia: need/want to donate food and supplies? Here's some options: Sankofa Community Farm at Bartram's Garden will be distributing free produce in front of Cobbs Creek Rec Center this Saturday. Priority goes to Black Cobbs Creek and SW community members. They will have sweet peppers, bell peppers, tomatoes, hot peppers, bok choy, eggplant and more. Bunnyhop Phl is doing an emergency dry food delivery. Anyone in NEED can email [email protected] with t...heir name, number, address, needs, household size, and if they need diapers. They are also doing an emergency DONATION drive today 10/29 and tomorrow 10/30 from 4-6pm at 6250 Baltimore Pike. They are looking for produce, snacks, granola bars, gatorade, water bottles, sanitizer, diapers, baby food, baby wipes, winter coats all sizes, and hygiene products. The People's Fridge on 52nd St and Mina's World are providing free meals. Sign up to get a free meal delivered on Saturday 10/31 from 5-8pm. Announcing the Philadelphia Food Justice Initiative (PFJI) 2020 Funding Round! Led by the Philadelphia Department of Public Health’s Division of Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention (CDIP), also known as Get Healthy Philly, and Reinvestment Fund, PFJI is seeking innovative proposals from community-led projects that grow food justice. The PFJI application is open to anyone in the city of Philadelphia. Nonprofit organizations, for-profit businesses, cooperatives or collectives working on food justice are eligible to apply and can seek up to $100,000 for their project.
