I mostly don't write more advanced arrangements but here's one to give some octave challenges to advancing teen students. I think students will enjoy it's dynamic big sound. I like this. Music reduces down to it most basic common denominators --- SONG or DANCE.

Interesting food for thought. Even though piano teachers are not hampered by administrations forcing them how and what to teach; it is good to see areas that hamstring teachers and purposely work to avoid them.

One of my students is a very curious student that explores repertoire I've never heard. Here's a TRUE GEM she brought to my attention at her last lesson. A beautiful little transcription by FRANZ LISZT by Jacob Arcadelt (16th century Franco-Flemish composer). -- AVE MARIA. A truly easy piece by Liszt. Enjoy!!

A DAY IN THE LIFE -- Today I checked a students theory work. One question was to identify a crescendo symbol. I accepted his answer. It was ....... CRASHINDO ... maybe not the most refined answer, but I think it shows promise.
