Film Intensive - Class of 2021 Powered by Restream https://restream.io/

Pig Iron School 31.05.2021

Please join us here on Facebook Live or on Twitch Wednesday 5/12 at 8pm for three short (5-10 minute) original films created under the guidance of Josephine Decker. This has been an exploration of devising and filmmaking where these 2nd year students have collaborated on the writing, filming and editing of these new film works. They started as an exploration of hidden communities but as is often true in a devising process, the starting point is just a way of helping to ...discover what it is really alive within the minds and hearts of the creative team. Through improvisations and short bursts of filmmaking, these original films are waiting for an audience.

Building on decades of experience in the alt-cabaret scenes of New York, Philadelphia, and Mexico City, Tareke Ortiz and Dito van Reigersberg will lead UNLEASH YOURSELF, a cabaret workshop offered as part of our Unmute Yourself virtual workshop series. You may wonder, "Can I take this workshop if I'm not a professional singer?" Yes, you can! Alternatively, you may also wonder, "Can I take this workshop if I am a professional singer but I've never acted?" The answer to that is... once again, yes, you can! Just like everyone, we're 'pivoting to digital.' The magic of Zoom allows us to teleport across the world, simulcasting workshop encounters for the first time. So we are thrilled to offer you this slate of workshops for the Fall/Winter of 2020. #pivot
