Friday was a beautiful day and evening. Busy Bees were setting up for the afternoon distribution with Key Food delivery while Price Chopper and Walmart donations arrived by other volunteers. The Community team #2 welcomed 22 families in the afternoon and another 12 families in the evening for a total of 34. Next week the St. Joseph's team will be on the porch. Pantry needs baked beans, salad dressing, ketchup, mustard and mayo.... Hope everyone enjoys the beautiful weekend and please stay safe. See more
May is Mental Health Awareness month. The pantry recognizes the importance of making information and resources available to the community.
Congratulations to Second Harvest Food bank on receiving the PBS Good Neighbor Award! Since our pantry started, it has been one of Second Harvest's participating agencies and has benefitted in so many ways. Thank you, Second Harvest, for your support of the Ecumenical Food Pantry and congratulations on receiving this well deserved award!
Did you know 43% of Americans haven't gotten a single shot? Nearly 90% of those say they haven't gotten around to it. Here's a chance right here in Pike county to get vaccinated. Let's care for our community!
The Food Truck Returns! One more opportunity to take advantage of the Farmers to Family Food Box distribution. This distribution is made possible because of the efforts of Connie Harvey, Commander of American Legion Post 139 Milford, and her team of volunteers. See flyer for details.
Thank You to Our Delaware Run Delivery Team: Last Friday was a holiday, Jan. 1st, but that didn't stop the team from loading up their cars for the first delivery of the year to the Delaware Run apartments in Matamoras. Phyllis Fernandez carefully carries a large box to one of the cars and then the team, Phyllis, Cesar Bujosa, and Bob Ridley stop for a minute before leaving. Thank you Phyllis, Cesar, and Bob.

Merry Christmas to everyone from the Ecumenical Food Pantry! Volunteers give and receive joy.
Thank you, Ryan Balton, for all your efforts and thank you to all the kind people who have so generously donated to the pantry.
Happy Holidays to Pantry Volunteers from Nancy Potter. Thank you for ALL you do: packing boxes, being outside, carrying heavy boxes to cars in all sorts of weather, and doing it because you care about others. Thank you for being there to help. You are the best!
Thinking again about the Christmas themes of Hope, Love, Peace, and Joy, our community shows love in its outpouring of support for neighbors in need.
Special notice regarding food pantry hours for Friday, January 1st: The pantry will only be open for distribution from noon until 2 PM today. The pantry will NOT be open for food distribution this evening from 6:30 to 7:30 due to the expected dangerous road conditions.

Our hearts are full of gratitude for the support of our community friends and partners. Hunger isn't selective, and the Covid-19 pandemic has shown us that anyone, at any time and in any circumstance could need a little extra help keeping food on the table. Thank you to our community for standing strong with us and our neighbors. We wish everyone a healthier, happier, and safer 2021!
Thank you, Rocco and Junior, and thank you to all the merchants and businesses who so generously support our pantry!
Hope, Love, Peace, and Joy are familiar themes during the Christmas season. Today we think of "hope" and how our pantry provides hope to our neighbors in need.
