The Pitt Pantry 17.06.2021

Edit: out of cantaloupe! Happy June! We're here in Bellefield Presbyterian Church’s back parking lot until 5:00 with potatoes, onions, cabbage, radishes, pea shoots, cantaloupe, butternut squash and beets! Take as many bags as you’d like -- please just take everything in the bag. Face coverings and social distancing is still required! We will do our best to update as items run out.

Find us on the back porch of Bellefield Church (facing the parking lot) from now until 5 p.m. or until we run out of produce. We're still here (Just up on the back porch)! Zucchinis, cabbage, onions, potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, and more at the Bellefield Presbyterian Church until 5:00. Face coverings and social distancing required. The back porch faces the parking lot and can be accessed by going up the steps on Fifth Ave or between the yellow posts on Thackeray.

Summer Hours! The Pitt Pantry will be offering food and hygiene boxes for pick-up on Wednesdays from 3-7 PM. Boxes can be requested through the link found on our website. Please complete the online request form by Tuesday 11:59 AM (noon) if you intend to pick-up for the upcoming Wednesday. No prior request is needed to pick-up produce but we do ask that you maintain social distancing and wear facial protection. Thank you for shopping with us!

We have a ton of extra produce from this week’s produce distribution!! Stop by between now and 2:15 p.m. to grab some zucchini, butternut squash, potatoes, cabbage, and sweet potatoes! Masks and social distancing required. Produce is located on the Thackeray facing porch of Bellefield Presbyterian Church.

Update: out of squash, still plenty of everything else! We're on the back porch again with apples, potatoes, and cabbage. Please come and take as much as you want, but please take only full bags (applies to apples and potatoes). We are at Bellefield Presbuterian Church--4001 Fifth Ave until 6:00. You can get to the back porch by going up the stairs from Fifth Ave and around to the right, or going between the yellow posts on Thackeray and also around to the right. Face coverings are required, and only one household on the porch at a time please!

Update! We are out of apples! But we still have everything else available until 6p! Hello everyone! It’s produce day! We have LOTS of cabbage, a small amount of apples, potatoes and spaghetti squash. The produce is on the back porch of Bellefield Presbyterian Church (corner of Thackeray and Fifth). You can either come up the steps from Fifth Avenue OR come around to the back of the church by entering the driveway/sidewalk off of Thackeray. Please remember to wear a face covering and only one person on the porch at a time for physical distancing! We will be here until 6pm or until we run out of produce!

Pantry Holiday Hours / Updates: Beginning the week of Thanksgiving break (Nov. 23rd) up until the week of Dec. 7th, the pantry will only be offering box pick-ups on Wednesdays from 3-7 pm. The pantry will also not be distributing produce on Tuesdays during this period. Additionally, the pantry will be closed for two weeks during the weeks of Dec. 14th and Dec. 21st. During these two weeks there will be no box pick-ups or produce deliveries. Wednesday box pick-ups will resume ...the week of Dec. 28th. Regular operations (Tuesday produce days and Wednesday and Friday box pick-up days) will resume the week of Jan. 18th. Thank you for being understanding of our holiday hours / adjustments. We wish everyone a happy holiday season! Update 11/20: Due to popular demand, the Thanksgiving Dinner Kits have all been claimed. If you ordered a kit, remember to come pick it up during the time that you selected on the form. We hope you enjoy your dinner! The Pitt Pantry is distributing Thanksgiving Dinner kits on Wednesday, November 25th. Kits will include ingredients and recipes for pumpkin pie, three-bean salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, and cranberry sauce. With the exception of the gravy, kits are vegetarian.... Each kit includes enough food for about four people. You must be a Pitt student but do not need to be a Pitt Pantry shopper to request a kit! The form will close on Tuesday Nov. 24th at noon so please request before then.
