Pitt Theatre

Hey everyone...it's been exactly 30 days since we had to close our doors. In a way, it seems even longer than that. No one knows just yet whether we'll be back up and running before the next 30 days passes, but we certainly hope so. Even after we get the okay to start up again, it will no doubt take much longer for the film companies to get back up to speed and provide us with some new content. We'll get some sort of entertainment back on our screens (even if it's a littl...e older than we normally run) as soon as we can. In the meantime, continue to stay safe and be well.

Due to the statewide shutdown order, The Pitt Theatre will be closed until further notice. Due to Governor Wolf's proclamation earlier today, The Pitt, being classified as a non-essential business, will be closed after tonight's shows (3/16). We will remain closed until the order is lifted. But for tonight (3/16), we've got ONWARD and THE CALL OF THE WILD.... For the upcoming week, we will be holding THE CALL OF THE WILD and ONWARD. In fact they may be here for a while. Hollywood is reacting to the coronaviris by postponing many of its upcoming theatrical releases. Included are two that we had booked for later this month--A Quiet Place 2 & Mulan. Neither will see a release in March, nor have any new dates been scheduled. Two of the April titles we had planned on have been delayed...Peter Rabbit 2 is moved to August and the new Ja...mes Bond/No Time To Die is pushed back to November. We expect the list to grow and for things to get worse before they get better. We'll make every attempt to bring in the newest and best films we can as circumstances allow.
