Plymouth Meeting Friends School Circus

Hi Everyone, Welcome to Circus Week! The Fourth Grade would like to invite all Facebook friends to join us next weekend , Friday the 13th or Saturday the 14th at 7:00. The circus will be held in the Steinbright Gym at Plymouth Meeting Friends School. Our address is 2150 Butler Pike, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462. Tickets are 5 bucks for kids and 10 bucks for adults and are available by calling our office at 610-828-2288. We hope to see you there.

Circus Week - Dress Rehearsal What a day! I often find myself nervous about that first dress rehearsal. Adding the costumes into the mix is tough and who knows how it will all unfold. I remember back in 2008 when we did The Wild Wild West and had four full costume changes. It still gives me nightmares. This year's show has one big change and the kids were focused and expedient in executing it today. Phew. One more run through tomorrow and then we are on! We'd love to see you this weekend of any facebook peeps are able to come out. Friday and Saturday night at 7:00. Tickets will be available at the door.

Circus Week - Monday Greetings All! We had a fantastic rehearsal today to start Circus Week 2019. At this point the kids are working really hard to know exactly where they need to be at any given time and where all of their equipment is. We had a few mistakes today and that was perfect as they were reminded how to handle unexpected situations when they unfold. All systems go for our first of two dress rehearsals tomorrow.

Welcome to Circus Week! Well, almost. Saturday night before circus week is always an odd time for me. We are generally "ready", but having a few more practices with lights and costumes will be very important next week. The nerves are starting to settle in though and an hour won't go by where I don't review part of the show in my mind. Here we go...

Seven weeks. We had a very successful practice this week and the show is slowly starting to take shape. Stepping Out will have three performances, starting on Thursday, March 14th at 10:00am for our school and 5 visiting schools! This will be followed by two public shows on March 15th and 16th at 7:00pm. Tickets will be available in early February. Stay tuned for more details on how to get your tickets.

Greetings Everyone! Sitting here in the waining days of our holiday break, I start to think about the circus. With just nine weeks to go before the big event, the kids are starting to write their skits and create a fuller vision of how their circus will unfold. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for many more reports, pictures and updates on our progress. Also, spread the word to friends and family that the shows are March 14, 15 and 16, 2019.
