Today we remember and honor our fallen brother Joshua Miller who was killed in the line of duty on this day in 2009. Joshua valiantly saved the life of a 9 year old boy who had been kidnapped. His swift and heroic actions undoubtedly prevented further tragedy. Take a moment today to reflect on his heroic actions.
VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION: The Pocono Township Police are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying the pictured vehicle. It is believed to be an early 2000’s Dodge Ram with a black spare wheel, or heavily soiled with brake dust, on the passenger front. ... The vehicle was involved in a copper theft at FJ Hess Plumbing, in Swiftwater, shortly after midnight on 5-10-2021. Anyone with information is asked to call the non-emergency number at 570-992-9911 and ask to speak to a Pocono Township Officer. Callers may remain anonymous. Lower Swiftwater Road (SR 314) between SR 611 and the fork at Upper Swiftwater Road will be closed to traffic for portions of Tuesday, June 1 through Friday, June 4 for road paving. Closure times: 6/1 (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.) and 6/2 - 6/4 (7 a.m. - 5 p.m.).

Officer Kresge began his career in 1990 at the age of 21. Officer Kresge has faithfully served the community of Pocono Township with honor and distinction every single day since.... PRESS RELEASE Date/Time: May 23, 2021. Approximately 2:24pm. Location: Sunset Hill Shooting Range... Nature of incident: Gunshot wound. On May 23, 2021 at approximately 2:24pm, The Pocono Township Police were dispatched for a gunshot victim at Sunset Hill Shooting Range, Henryville. Through an investigation it was revealed to be a self inflicted gunshot wound. The victim was to the hospital and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
SUSPECT IDENTIFICATION: The Pocono Township Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the pictured male. The pictured male is suspected of stealing a credit card in Pocono Township and using it at Foot Locker in the Stroud Mall on two separare occasions over the past weekend....
