Join us for our upcoming Artists at Lunch virtual artist talk with Philadelphia based fibers artist Carla J. Fisher. Carla began seriously pursuing her art after 25 years of working in finance, as well as following the death of her husband as a means of healing. Since, she has become an accomplished artist exhibiting her work around the world. Through free motion machine embroidery, she seeks the viewer’s visceral response of surprise as they realize the sculptures material is simply thread. It’s the reminder and confirmation that one little strand - or woman - truly can do seemingly impossible things when challenged to do so. Register for this talk here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/artists-at-lunch-with-featured #fiberart #fiberartist #fiber #fiberartsculpture #fiberarts #phillyartist #phillycreatives
