I just wanted to post that we now have official word from the IRS, PA State, and at least York Adams Tax Bureau that taxes are automatically extended to July 15th, for filing AND payment... with no interest or penalties from the IRS... Hey everyone! As the April 15th deadline quickly approaches, remember that an extension is ONLY an extension of time to file, it is NOT an extension of time to pay. Extensions will only eliminate the failure to file penalty, NOT the failure to pay penalty and NOT interest! To all our clients: IF you are going to owe money to the IRS, please contact our office to make arrangements to make a payment with your extension.
