We get asked about this several times a week. The major scare about dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) being caused by grain-free diets was always an uncertainty at best, but because vets couldn’t be absolutely certain, they felt it was best to advise against feeding it. This has now officially been disproved, so what is best for your dog is to pick a food that results in healthy bowels, clear eyes, a healthy coat and great energy - with it without grains.
