Did you know that court orders, including custody orders, remain in full effect during the Governor Wolf’s stay-at-home order? While the Bucks County Courts are conducting very limited operations during this time (presently through May 15, 2020), our family law judges have clearly stated that parents are expected to continue following their custody orders. Failure to do so may be considered contempt. Obviously, the health and well-being of the children should be of paramou...nt concern and parents should use common sense to keep their children safe. That said, a parent should not use the coronavirus crisis to take advantage of the other parent or to try to limit court-ordered custody time, without good cause.
