What do camp friendships mean to you? The friendships I made at Camp are still ever-present in my life, and I can see that Ramah had an enormous impact on making me the person I am today. The only reason I was able to attend Camp was through scholarships. I support Ramah today because I know it provides a unique space where kids can truly be themselves while making lifelong friendships. That year, we provided $339,871 in scholarship dollars to those families in need of our support. In 2021, we anticipate needing more scholarship dollars than ever before. The 2020 L’CHAIM Campaign is the most important source of scholarship for all of our 2021 campers. Ramah needs your help to survive this unprecedented financial crisis. Our Sukkah is available for your family! Start your day with an early breakfast, stop by after school for a snack, have dinner or watch the stars through the roof before bedtime. Notes: Please do not stop by between 8am-4pm while school is in session. Size of the sukkah is 7x8 - one family/pod at a time inside please! Chag Sameach!

#RamahOnTheRoad looks a little different this year than last, but is still as much fun! Today, along with tzevet (staff) from Camp Ramah In The Poconos, we visited with our colleagues at Congregation Adath Jeshurun.

Introducing the 2020 Chai Campaign Chairs, Andrew & Vivian Barnett! Andrew (Bogrim ‘80) was a reluctant Ramah camper in 1978, but he miraculously decided to come back in 1979 and 1980. In 1983 he came back again for one of the best summers of his life on kitchen staff. Vivian (Camper ‘79 - ‘82) first learned about Ramah at Hebrew school when she was 10. As a Jewish girl going to a school with few Jews, Ramah was one of the only places where she felt comfortable being herself.... Andrew and Vivian met in 1979 when we were in the same edah! Re-acquainted through a common friend, they started dating a few years later and soon they were engaged. They got married on November 5, 1989 - a mere ten years after Andrew miraculous decided to come back to Ramah!
