The driver of a 2007 Jeep Compass somehow escaped se...rious injury when he allegedly lost control while traveling north on Route 119 on Saturday morning on the Indiana Hill and driving down an steep embankment. The driver was charged with not reporting an accident to police after it occurred. PSP- Punxsutawney were assisted at the scene by Punxsutawney Borough Police, Punxsutawney Central Fire Department and Utility-20 and Rebuck's South Side Towing. See more

All three Punxsutawney Fire Department com...panies were dispatched with Central and Elk Run canceled as Lindsey;s Rescue 40 was on scene. The Subaru was stopped traveling north and was waiting to make a left into Dairy Queen when the driver of a Chrysler mini-van did not stop in time striking the Subaru in the rear and swerved into the southbound lane and struck a white Hyundai head on. There were no injuries and all three vehicles were towed by Rebuck's South Side Towing. PSP Punxsutawney were also assisted by Jefferson County EMS. See more
