Pandemic put your renovation plans on hold? Now may not be the time to start a major project, but it is a great time to finalize those plans! How about a bathroom renovation to give you some ideas? This was the last project we wrapped up before things got crazy, and we think it turned out amazing! A glass shower surround makes the space feel more open, a light grey closet provides plenty of storage and narrow barn doors provide privacy without eating into the living space.

Are we making abstract art? Nope just renovating a bathroom! White subway tile, green spacers, purpleboard (mildew resistant drywall) and RedGard (waterproofing membrane) makes for a colorful space. Only for a little while though.

Sometimes it can be difficult for our clients to visualize how everything is going to fit in their bathroom. We’ve found that taking the time to measure out and tape off every fixture can help. This is a small basement bathroom that had to be completely gutted because of water damage. The old layout was cramped and awkward, and we knew we could give them a bathroom that felt so much more spacious. So here we are, taping lines on the floor.

Powder room refresh! Isn’t it amazing what a transformation you can achieve without having to gut the whole bathroom? In this case we helped the homeowner choose a new vanity and fixtures, paint and wainscoting. I bet you didn’t even notice the flooring stayed the same!
