two years ago when I left my corporate job at the bank, my bosses asked, where are you going? what are you going to do? I answered, gardening! they both laughed out loud and tried to give me career advice. last night I had tacos made with veggies all from my backyard, including these purple potatoes. i laughed each time i dug a new potato up this morning and may have mistaken an acorn for a tiny potato, too. i know they thought i was the butt of my own joke back then, ...but honestly it’s been the funniest two years and some of the most rewarding days i can remember. to all the people that make this career feel like the funniest, most rewarding thing ever, i thank you. #manayunk #roxborough #slowfood #purple #potatoes #farming #careeradvice
