This Saturday is Juneteenth the oldest celebration commemorating the end of slavery in the U.S. NSVRC is proud to honor this milestone for civil rights and share its connection to our movement to end sexual violence. Juneteenth is a day to celebrate freedom and Black culture. It’s also a reminder that our country was founded on a history of oppression and that, even to this day, systemic racism creates barriers to freedom. We invite you to join us in honoring Juneteenth and centering racial equity in our work to end sexual violence.
