SNOW EMERGENCY HAS BEEN LIFTED!! Thank you all for your cooperation! Due to the impending snowstorm, the Borough of Robesonia will be declaring a snow emergency effective Noon tomorrow (Wednesday, December 16) till further notice. All cars MUST be removed from snow emergency routes till further notice. All others are STRONGLY encouraged to remove all vehicles from the streets, if able. Please remember there is additional parking available on the basketball courts behind th...e Borough Hall and at the tot lot pavilion off of South Robeson Street. Also, do not open your driveways until the plows have had a chance to push back to the curbs! Otherwise, you will need to keep re-opening your driveways again and again since there is no way to not roll snow back into driveways as the plows take passes down the streets. Please keep in mind that it is the road crews' job to only create a passable driving lane during the storm to allow for emergency vehicles to get through, if necessary. The process of widening those lanes and cleaning up the intersections will not start till the worst of the storm has passed. Please remember to check on your sick and elderly neighbors! Want to have some New Year's Eve outdoor fun? Consider getting a group of friends together and coming out to support the Friends of the Robesonia Furnace and the Patriotic Order Sons of America, Camp 113 on Thursday, December 31st (NEW YEAR's EVE!) from noon to 6PM. The Friends will be hosting a Food Truck Event, live music by Foreplay (from 2-5PM), museum tours and a campfire! Tickets will be $5/pp. Also, that day the POSofA will be holding their flag retirement ceremon...y (right down the street!) at 12:30. So, come on out and and have some fun supporting these great community/civic organizations and volunteers! LAST LEAF PICK-UP! The last day for leaf collection will be Thursday, December 10th. Please rake your leaves to the curb by Thursday morning for collection. After that your leaves will need to be bagged and placed out with your regular trash. Thank you!

On Halloween night, October 31st, several volunteers from the Borough of Robesonia hosted an event to provide candy and hot beverages to the children and parents in the community who were trick or treating. The volunteers were dressed in costume to help make the event more enjoyable. One of the volunteers had his 14 year old granddaughter assist him with make-up for a Zombie costume. A participant to the event took a picture of this volunteer at night under the misconception that it was a form of blackface. Nothing could be further from the truth and the entire Borough Council, staff and Police Department are saddened by this assumption. We sincerely hope that this clears up the matter for anyone thinking that this was anything else than an enjoyable evening for the community.

TRICK OR TREAT! The Borough of Robesonia will be holding Trick or Treat Night on Saturday, October 31st from 6-9PM. In light of the ongoing pandemic and CDC Guidelines (which can be found on the Borough's website under Trick-or-Treat Night on the home page), we will remind everyone to go ONLY to those houses with their porch lights on! One suggestion to keep both the residents and your trick or treaters safe is to hand out Grab & Go bags to limit person-to-person contact. ...The Borough Manager, Council Members and our POLICE DEPARTMENT will be setting up at the Ballfield Concession Stand (behind the Borough Hall) on West Ruth AVenue to hand out candy bars, goody bags, hot chocolate and hot mulled cider....so be sure to stop by and warm up in your travels! The Fire Department and Lori's Candy Station will also be handing out goodies so be sure to stop by! Please be sure to maintain social distancing of at least 6' when visiting any of these stops!
