Rich Big Dog harvested a 34.2 # male coyote at 2:20 a.m. on Saturday. Rich was using a mouth call, and was hunting with a .22-.250 on private land in Elk County. Nathan Hoffman harvested a 32.9 # female coyote at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday. Nathan was using a mouth call, and was hunting with a .22-.250 on private land in Elk County. Hunters are reminded that Rolfe Beagle Club will hold its 10-year, 10-day Coyote and Crow Hunt from 9/1 thru 9/10 in 2022. The hunt will include both weekends that bracket Labor Day in September. Snow-on-the-mountain. Easily IDed by the white on the edge of the leaves. Can spread rapidly in the right habitat. Native to the midwest areas of the US. I'...ve heard the leaves can be used to flavor a tea, but because this plant is in the spurge family, whose leaves can be used to incur diarrhea, I have never tried snow-on-the-mountain in a tea.
