Another year, another successful coat drive for kiddos in our area. Thank you to all who contributed particularly the Jamie Cordial Hall Foundation. ROW members collected and sorted hundreds of new or gently used coats, hats and gloves at Persichetti's Restaurant Wednesday evening before delivering the cold weather wear to several local organizations for distribution to children. After lengthy discussions and consultations with our governing bodies, it has become abundantly clear that we must err on the side of caution and act in the best interests of everyone’s health and safety. That being said, we are incredibly disappointed to share that ROW’s Battle of the Beers Oktoberfest will be postponed. We have not reached this decision lightly and truly believe it’s the best course of action given the accelerated spread of COVID-19’s Delta variant. We knew from the outset this situation might occur, and we made plans to accommodate it. We are hopeful our Spring, 2022 back up date will fall within a changed and safer COVID-related landscape. Check back often for updates and news of the other great things we are doing. www.rotaryofwestmoreland.org

These kits (new clothing, undergarments, shoes, etc.) are sent to 10 local hospitals, so child victims of human trafficking, sexual assault or traumatic injury can be released wearing more than a hospital gown, mesh underwear and booties, which are typically provided after the victim's belongings are collected as evidence or ruined due to urgent ...care/rescue. Sadly, more than 1,400 kits were dispersed in the first year Rooted Outreach offered them. This donation will provide nearly 2 dozen more kits to child victims.
