The Pennsylvania Game Commission has received multiple reports from Chester County of nestling and fledgling songbirds with ocular or neurologic issues, and ...in some cases these birds have been found dead in large numbers. Cases have also been reported in TN, KY, VA, WV, MD, DE, IN, OH and FL. Until this songbird mortality event is resolved, the Game Commission is asking people to please stop feeding birds because congregating birds could potentially transmit the disease. Please report all occurrences online https://bit.ly/3htNiaJ. As a precaution, please avoid handling birds and keep your pets away from sick or dead birds.
