National Learn to Row Day Have you ever thought about learning to row? Then why not join Central Pennsylvania Rowing Club Head Coach, Derek Updegraff, and team members for the 19th-annual National Learn to Row Day on June 5. Join us at our boathouse. Member organizations around the country have traditionally opened their boathouse doors to guests interested in trying our sport every first Saturday in June. Programs able to safely do so will once again be listed on our website, and new for this year we are offering virtual content as well. In the lead-up to the traditional National Learn To Row Day on Saturday, June 5, 2021, we will offering free webinars June 1 through 4. Erg classes for individuals new to the rowing machine, webinars on how to recruit and work with new rowers and how to make your boathouse an inclusive and welcoming place. If your organization is not yet open to guests in your boathouse, there will still be programming and content for you to share with your interested family and friends. "As boathouses are re-opening and regattas are coming back, we want to find the right balance between in-person activities for those who can and great online activities for everyone," said Director of Member Services, Jules Zane. NO evening coached row Monday July 5th due to anticipated increased boat traffic. Instead there will be a coached row at 7am Monday July 5th. Next potluck social is Thursday July 15.

Today is Linda McMillin’s last day to row with us. She is starting a new adventure which will include rowing and being a Grammy to her grandbabies. We will miss her and look forward to hearing about her new adventures and new rowing venue. 5 am practices!
